After kicking off the 2015 Evergreen Premier League season in convincing fashion in Wenatchee last weekend, the Spokane Shadow are returning to Spokane Falls CC Stadium Saturday night to continue the defense of their league championship. The Shadow play host to the Seattle Stars at 7:00 pm with family-friendly tailgating commencing at 5:00.

The Shadow came from behind in Wenatchee in the first meeting to grab a 3-2 halftime lead before rolling off five unanswered in a stunning 8-2 win over the Capitals, who played Yakima to a 1-0 win and 3-3 draw in the two meetings between the central Washington rivals. Spokane swept Yakima 2-0 and 2-1.

Shadow players excel in 2015 college campaigns

The 2015 collegiate season was a highly successful one in the region and quite a few Spokane SC Shadow alumni played a part in it. Five former Shadow youth and First Team players received top awards in their respective leagues for outstanding seasons and six were honored as regional All-Americans.
