Coaching	Licensed, credentialed and experienced coaches. Our staff has a long history of soccer; most assuredly as players but also as coaches. They bring enthusiasm and an infectious love for the game. Our coaches are a vital part of the club; they see their duty as training and developing players. Your son/daughter will be exposed to a variety of coaches through their SSC Shadow career, which enhances their overall experience. This is a critical strength of our club. Children are exposed to a variety of teachers on their academic path; the same will be the case for our SSC Shadow players. Our coaching staff is selected based on the highest standards - the most important part being adults we can entrust with our children that have the playing experience and coaching credentials to help players attain the highest levels of development. We have proven success in doing just that. Premier Coaching profiles here	Volunteer coaches with various levels of coaching experience. Some have certifications and high school or college playing experience. We offer unique benefits that other Select soccer programs do not: a licensed Director of Coaching guides our volunteer coaches. They receive active information that flows from the Premier side of the club to them, following similar philosophies and emphases.
League Play	Ranked #6 in the state, our premier teams compete in the Washington Youth Soccer Regional Club League - the highest level of state-wide competition available. We hold the only Inland Empire membership in the Regional Club League - a testament to the commitment to SSC Shadow’s focus on development, competition, community and enjoyment!	Compete in the District VI League of Washington Youth Soccer against clubs from Spokane and Eastern Washington.
Training	SSC Shadow Premier teams practice 9-10 months of the year between Dwight Merkel Sports Complex and Plantes Ferry Park. We have an “open” practice policy. For players who desire more training, they are welcome to attend other Premier team practices.	Spokane Soccer Club Shadow Select train in the area of town in which they live: City of Spokane = SSC Shadow United Select City of Spokane Valley = SSC Shadow Elite Select Our Select teams train 6-8 months of the year. Tournament participation by teams is optional.
Player Expectations	Shadow Premier Regional Club League (RCL) brings with it an expectation that the player really wants to play soccer at a competitive level focused on future growth and development. They DO NOT have to specialize in soccer; playing other sports is encouraged. Players that like competing and want to be pushed to be better by skilled teammates, outstanding coaches and the best league and tournament competition available will find a perfect fit in Shadow Premier RCL. If you have aspirations of competing at a high level in high school and perhaps in college, SSC Shadow Premier RCL is by far your best club option in greater Spokane!	Select soccer is for the above average player looking for a more competitive level of play than Recreational soccer. This level of play provides continued opportunities for players to play the game with others that have similar levels of ability and desire.
Cost	The financial difference to play Premier Regional Club League soccer comes down to the service provided. Premier RCL coaches are licensed professionals and are paid a stipend. Club Registration for 2013-2014 is $1,090, which includes Club Dues ($875; no increase), RCL League fees and field rental fees. Additional expenses are incurred for uniforms (purchased every 2 years), tournaments and travel (vary by team) and Washington Youth Soccer membership (~$140; TBD).
