James Charette of Washington Youth Soccer serves as Director of Coaching Education.  On Monday, he presented to our RCL and Select coaching staff, discussing his recent trip to Barcelona and Valencia and shedding light on the new methodology of US Soccer licensing and coaching education program.  25 coaches were in attendance.   

“James’ presentation was enlightening and enjoyable,” said Technical Director Sean Bushey.  “He sets the standard in so many ways; we are thankful to have him present to our coaching staff.  They are eager to learn and strive to be better coaches in order to better serve our players.  Our coaching staff is the most soccer educated (Licensed and experienced) staff in greater Spokane, and we strive to keep learning.

For the past two summers, Frans Hoek, current Holland National Team Goalkeeper Coach, has held summer workshops for SSC Shadow coaches.  Multiple coaching clinics, lead by our Technical Director and Director of Coaching, have also been held throughout the year.
