Chloe Williams invited to US WNT U23 Camp; Turnbow scores for U20s

 

After another amazing collegiate season at Eastern Washington University, former Spokane Shadow player Chloe Williams has been invited to join the United States U23 Women's National Team in the Orlando portion of back-to-back training camps over the next two weeks. 

The Orlando camp will be held April 2-8 and includes a closed-door match against the professional National Women's Soccer League side Orlando Pride on April 7 as well as a game against the University of Central Florida on April 5.  US Soccer Release [+] 

Williams' invite comes on the heels of another former Shadow player performing well for the USA. Kelsey Turnbow, playing for the USA U20 WNT scored twice at the La Manga tournament in Spain over the during the first week of March.

 

Turnbow (#4 in pic) came on in the second half of the opening game and scored the final goal of the contest as the USA U20 WNT defeated Norway 8-2. She started in the second match, a 2-1 loss to Germany in the second game, and then went on to come off the bench and score the second goal in 2-0 victory against France to wrap up the trip. Turnbow was a regular member of the U18 team, but is now part of the U20 squad as the new cycle for U20 WNT begins.
